송은 x 언박싱 프로젝트: 생성적 형상들
송은미술대상 25주년 기념

송은미술대상 25주년을 맞아 언박싱 프로젝트와 협력하여 선보이는 《생성적 형상들》은 물리적으로 동일한 조건에서 출발한 예술적 변주를 바탕으로 역대 수상 및 본선 진출 작가 179명의 작품을 한자리에 모읍니다. 참여 작가들에게는 25주년을 상징하는 25 × 25cm 크기의 합판 네 장이 담긴 박스가 전달되었으며, 이들은 각자 고유한 조형 언어를 통해 제한된 조건이 지닌 새로운 가능성을 탐구했습니다. 발송되었던 패키지 그대로 송은에 되돌아온 작품들은 '언박싱'이라는 행위를 통해 비로소 모습을 드러내며, 물리적 한계를 넘어 무한히 확장되는 다채로운 조형적 풍경으로 펼쳐집니다.

Celebrating 25 Years of the SONGEUN Art Award

Marking the 25th anniversary of the SONGEUN Art Award, Generative Forms brings together 179 past winners and finalists in an exhibition shaped by chance, interpretation, and transformation. Each participating artist was mailed an identical 25 × 25 cm plywood module, inviting them to explore its possibilities through their own conceptual and artistic language. Returned to SONGEUN in its original packaging, each work is revealed anew through the act of unboxing, unfolding into a diverse constellation of forms and ideas.

프리즈 서울 시기에 맞춰 개최되는 《Groundwork: The Bunker Room Presentation》은 올해 오종 작가를 초대해 개인전 《가라앉음, 앉음》을 선보입니다. 전시는 송은의 지하 벙커룸에 대한 작가의 깊은 침잠과 고찰을 바탕으로 기획되어, 최소한의 선과 미세한 면을 활용한 섬세한 개입을 통해 공간의 건축적 조건을 은은하게 변형시킵니다. 작가는 존재와 감각, 그리고 사물과 사물 사이의 공간에 대한 한층 높은 감각을 선사합니다.

Presented in conjunction with Frieze Seoul, the second edition of Groundwork: The Bunker Room Presentation unveils Sinking, Sitting, a solo presentation by Jong Oh conceived through a sustained meditation on SONGEUN’s subterranean Bunker Room.Through delicate interventions of minimal lines and subtle planes, Oh gently alters the architectural conditions of the space, inviting visitors into a heightened awareness of presence, perception, and the space between things. |

MINOTAURUS: SunadanSe & Les Mondes Transversaux On Tour

전시 기간 중인 8월 19일부터 9월 12일까지는 미술과 음악, 무용이 교차하는 다원예술 프로젝트 MINOTAURUS (The Minotaur’s Drum)가 함께 진행됩니다. 스위스 극작가 프리드리히 뒤렌 마트의 소설 『미노타우로스–담시』를 바탕으로 한 이번 프로젝트는 헤르조그 & 드 뫼롱이 설계한 송은의 기하학적 미로 구조와 호응하며, 전시 《생성적 형상들》이 제시하는 다채로운 변주와도 긴밀하게 공명합니다.

MINOTAURUS: SunadanSe & Les Mondes Transversaux On Tour

Interrogating the boundary between self and myth, this international performance project brings together contemporary dance, live percussion, and site-responsive movement within SONGEUN’s labyrinthine architecture. Presented in dialogue with Generative Forms, daily performances at 4 PM transform the exhibition space into a fluid encounter of rhythm, movement, and spatial transformation—inviting visitors to experience the architecture anew.

The Minotaur – A Ballad 도록 출간 기념 아티스트 토크

전시 오픈 전날인 8월 18일, 송은문화재단은 프리드리히 뒤렌마트(Friedrich Dürrenmatt)의 1985년작 『미노타우로스–담시』를 국내 최초로 번역해 출간을 기념하는 자리를 가집니다. 샬롯 케르 뒤렌마트 재단(Charlotte Kerr Dürrenmatt Foundation)의 후원으로 진행된 이번 출간은 문학과 시각적 신화, 그리고 퍼포먼스를 한데 모아 언어와 형태, 세대를 넘어 이동하며 이야기가 만개하는 다채로운 삶의 순간들을 탐구합니다.

On the eve of the exhibition opening, join us to celebrate the first Korean translation of Friedrich Dürrenmatt’s landmark 1985 text, The Minotaur – A Ballad. Generously supported by the Charlotte Kerr Dürrenmatt Foundation, this special gathering brings together literature, visual mythology, and performance, exploring the many lives a story can take as it moves between languages, forms, and generations.

오는 8월 27일부터 29일까지 송은 x 스테델릭: 비디오 클럽 3회차를 진행합니다. 이번 스크리닝에서는 스텔델릭 뮤지엄(Stedelijk Museum)의 현대미술 큐레이터 멜라니 뷜러(Melanie Bühler)와 함께 현대 사회에서 구성되는 '남성성'을 탐구합니다. 멜라니 뷜러는 최근의 큐레이토리얼 연구를 바탕으로, 남성성이 구축되고 수행되며 이해되는 사회적 틀에 의문을 제기하고 검증하는 영상 작품들을 소개합니다. 예약은 8월 21일부터 네이버 예약 페이지를 통해 가능합니다.
SONGEUN x STEDELIJK: Video Club

For its third edition, SONGEUN × STEDELIJK: Video Club welcomes Melanie Bühler, Curator of Contemporary Art at the Stedelijk Museum, for a screening programme exploring contemporary constructions of masculinity. Drawing from her recent curatorial research, Bühler presents moving-image works that examine and challenge the social frameworks through which masculinity is constructed, performed, and understood. Reservations are required through Naver Booking using a Naver account. The booking link will open on August 21st.
